Lake Toba Wonderful Indonesia

Lake Toba is the largest lake in all of Southeast Asia, one of Sumatra's most spectacular sights and the center of the land of the Batak people. Visitors interested in reaching the Lake Toba will continue driving after the town of Brastagi till the village of Parapat.,situated along the Lake Toba, where they take the ferryto the island of Samosir.Arriving on the island they will disembark in the traditional village of Tuk Tuk. The visit of the village is the opportunity  to visit a well preserved traditional village with its traditional Batak houses and megalithic tombs. The total journey from Belawan will take about 4 1/2 hours.

The port of Belawan is located in the Malacca Strait, on the estuary of the Belawan river. The access chanel is 8 nm long with a minimum  depth of -8m00LWS above datum.

Berthing facilities
The port provides 1,500 m of berth with a minimum depth 9m00. The maximum length overall of vessels able to go alongside in Belawan is 200 m LOA, limited by the size of the turning basin. A passenger terminal located in front of the cruise berth is available  being normally used by local ferries.
